Neurofeedback
(also known as EEG Biofeedback)
is a method where you can exercise or "train" your brain
so that specific neuronal connections get stronger.
|
Goals in using neurofeedback include promoting a stable, flexible, and well-regulated brain.
This training:
inhibits excessive slow brain waves
inhibits excessive fast brain waves
rewards brain wave frequencies that contribute to a calm, relaxed, focused state.
In other words, neurofeedback is used to "wake up" a sleepy brain, "calm" an overaroused brain, and improve the timing and coordination of neuronal firing for peak performance training. |
